The Security Service of Ukraine Detains Border Guard Official Involved in Bribery
The Security Service of Ukraine has announced the detention of an official from a local unit of the State Border Guard Service. The official is accused of accepting bribes in exchange for helping illegal border crossers bypass checkpoints and enter a neighboring country.
According to the SBU, the culprit used his own cryptocurrency wallet to maintain anonymity while receiving payments from clients.
An investigation is currently underway to determine all the details of the crime and ensure that those responsible are held accountable. The SBU, in collaboration with the National Police and the State Border Guard Service, has been conducting comprehensive measures under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor’s office.
