Ukrainian Symphony: London Concert Impresses Audience

During a concert at the Southbank Centre in London dedicated to Ukrainian music, three different and contrasting works of Ukrainian symphonic music were performed.

This was announced by the chief conductor of the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Kirill Karabits, as reported by Ukrainian Business.

«This concert was historic, as for the first time the British audience at the Royal Festival Hall had the opportunity to enjoy a completely Ukrainian symphonic program,» he noted.

The program of the concert included the London premiere of the work «Terykon» by Ukrainian composer Anna Korsun.

«Our performance was symbolic, as it took place shortly before the Peace Summit initiated by President Volodymyr Zelensky, which I personally strongly support,» added Karabits.
