The police of Kyiv have repeatedly reported the search for the parents of a four to five-year-old girl in a pink dress with polka dots, who was wandering the streets of Levka Lukyanenka and asking passersby to help find her mother.
The capital’s police received a call from a woman who found the lonely child on the streets of the Obolon district. The child could not name her parents or the place where she lived.
«Patrol officers questioned passersby, but did not find any familiar faces. We reassured the girl and handed her over to juvenile police officers,» the police said.
Law enforcement officers appealed to the public for help in the search for the parents. They hoped that friends or relatives of the child would respond.
In the evening, information appeared that the girl’s parents had been found.
«The child’s mother explained that she went to work in the morning and left her daughter with her older sisters and brother. But the girl unlocked the door and went out to look for her mother,» described the police in Kyiv.
The mother of the little girl had a preventive conversation with juvenile police officers.
The police expressed their gratitude to everyone for their help in searching for the child’s parents.
