Ford introduces free Tesla Supercharger adapters for electric vehicle owners
Ford has announced a new program that will allow owners of Ford electric vehicles to receive adapters for Tesla Supercharger stations at no cost until July 1 of this year.
Manufactured by Tesla, these adapters will enable Ford electric vehicle owners to charge their vehicles at thousands of Supercharger stations across the US and Canada.
This initiative marks the first step in Ford’s plan to adopt the Tesla North American Charging Standard (NACS) for its electric vehicles. By standardizing the charging process and using the same connector as Tesla, Ford aims to enhance compatibility and convenience for its customers.
While the adapters are offered for free until July, customers will have the option to purchase them for $230 USD, plus taxes and shipping fees, after this promotional period ends.
