Monument to Odessans-Chornobyl victims on Alexandrovsky Avenue underwent comprehensive cleaning and restoration after the winter period.
As reported by a correspondent of «Dumskaya», municipal services used a truck-mounted lift and a high-pressure water jet for a thorough cleaning of the monument. This allowed to effectively remove winter dirt and pollution from the monument.
According to Lyubov Revenko, a consultant on public relations at the Municipal Enterprise «Service Center», Odessan monuments are cleaned twice a month in warm weather.
«Since most of our monuments are located in open areas, we use water and special reagents for cleaning. In addition, we carry out minor repairs, restore painted elements, paint over chips, repair curbs and tile coverings, as well as remove the consequences of vandalism,» Revenko noted.
There are 45 objects of monumental art on the balance of the Municipal Enterprise «Service Center», which are not part of the cultural heritage.
