US President Joe Biden and Congressional leaders agree on immediate action for Ukraine and Israel
During a Sunday phone call, a «consensus» emerged between US President Joe Biden and Congressional leaders on the urgent need to provide assistance to Ukraine and Israel. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer reported this development, expressing hope that steps will be taken this week to support both countries.
Schumer suggested that the best way to provide aid is to consider and pass the national security package approved by the Senate in February for $95 billion. However, the document has not yet been considered in the House of Representatives due to opposition from Speaker Mike Johnson, associated with Donald Trump’s position and the influence of the Republican Party.
