Zhytomyr assists Kharkiv with power generators

In Kharkiv, 37 generators of various capacities were received from the Zhytomyr region. This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv regional military administration, Oleg Synyhubov, who expressed gratitude to the residents and leadership of the region.

Synyhubov emphasized that the issue of providing electric generators is extremely important for Kharkiv region, and cooperation with other regions in this direction continues.

Zhytomyr region transferred 36 generators with a capacity of up to 15 kW to Kharkiv region and one with a capacity of 500 kW. 27 communities and 2 municipal institutions of the region joined in providing assistance. There is also consideration of transferring a 1 MW cogeneration plant to Kharkiv region to provide alternative energy supply to local boiler houses.

Earlier, Kharkiv region has already received over 1000 generators from other regions.

Kharkiv urgently needs alternative sources of energy supply after the massive shelling of the city by Russian forces. The occupiers have caused significant damage to the energy infrastructure in their attempts to completely destroy it. In particular, TEC-5, which became a target of enemy shelling, can no longer generate heat and electricity. Therefore, schedules for power outages are in place in Kharkiv and the region.
