This week, American neurosurgeons provide assistance in Lviv
A delegation of leading American neurosurgeons has arrived in Lviv to provide assistance to military and civilian victims of the war. Together with Ukrainian doctors, they have already started performing important surgical interventions in the city’s medical facilities.
Specialists from various US cities on a mission in Ukraine
A total of 12 specialists from various US cities, including neurosurgeons, neurologists, anesthesiologists, and operating room nurses, are participating in the mission. The main focus of their work is children’s hospitals, where they plan to perform complex neurosurgical operations on children with various brain diseases.
Exchanging experience and providing free medical services
The mission, lasting until April 5, aims not only at providing medical services but also at exchanging experience in the treatment of severe vascular pathologies. All medical services provided by American specialists are free of charge for patients, including the treatment of aneurysms, brain and spinal cord tumors, and epilepsy that is not responsive to drug treatment.
