A tragedy in Golosiivsky district of Kyiv
A man died in an explosion, presumably from a grenade, in the Golosiivsky district of Kyiv on April 21. The incident was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Kyiv police.
At 6 am, explosions near a garage cooperative were reported to the Golosiivsky police department. Law enforcement, including the investigative-operational group, the capital’s headquarters, explosion technicians, and medics, responded to the scene.
«The body of a man with shrapnel wounds, presumably from a grenade, was found. Preliminary data suggest suicide. The deceased, born in 1968, was a local resident,» stated the police.
A criminal case under Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, with an additional qualification for suicide, has been initiated by the investigative department of the Golosiivsky police department.
This incident is not the first of its kind in Kyiv. In December of last year, a man died from a grenade explosion in the private sector of the Podilsky district of Kyiv.
