In Lviv, on May 7, a solemn celebration of Easter caroling took place on Svoboda Avenue near the monument to Taras Shevchenko.
This event was organized by the press service of the Lviv Regional Administration.
Children and folk ensembles from Lviv region were invited to take part in the event. They not only familiarized themselves with ancient traditions as spectators, but also actively participated in this festive event.
The caroling was performed by the girls’ vocal-choreographic ensemble «Pannochka» and the boys’ vocal-choreographic ensemble «Jura» under the direction of famous artists Igor Fedak and Volodymyr Gorodysky, as well as under the direction of choir masters Solomiya and Andriy Voloshyn.
«Caroling is an important part of our cultural heritage, which not only reproduces folk art, but also contributes to the preservation and transmission of traditions and cultural values. This holiday unites us in faith and national self-determination,» emphasized Deputy Chief of the Lviv Regional Administration Ivan Sobko.
