The Kiev City Council Renames Street in Honor of Pavlo Glazovyi

The Kiev City Council has announced that a street, previously named after Russian-Soviet aviator Grigory Oniskovich, will now be renamed in honor of Ukrainian poet-humorist and satirist Pavlo Glazovyi. This move is part of the decolonization of the capital’s toponymy, with the new name being supported by the City Council’s decision.

The city administration has clarified that changing the names of urban objects, such as streets, does not require reissuing documents for residents and businesses in the area.
