In the 21st minute of the game, Ukrainian Mykhailo Mudryk attempted to score against the guests, but goalkeeper Guillermo Vicario easily dealt with the ball. It took just three minutes for Trevoh Chalobah to open the scoring after a pass from Conor Gallagher from a free kick.
In the 72nd minute, Nicolas Jackson doubled Chelsea’s lead with a header. Five minutes later, Cezar Casadei came on instead of Mudryk.
As a result, Chelsea, with 51 points, rose to eighth place in the championship standings.
