Quick Response: Rescuers Save People from Fire on Kozatska Street

Fire in Oleksandriia

On Friday, May 31 at 09:28, the rescue service received a report of a fire on Kozatska Street in the city of Oleksandriia. This was reported by regional emergency services through the Zlatopil Information Agency.

Rescue Operation

Upon arrival at the scene, rescuers noticed thick smoke coming from the windows of an apartment on the fifth floor of a five-story residential building.

According to preliminary information, people were inside the apartment. Using a ladder, firefighters rescued a woman born in 1977, a child born in 2021, and one four-legged resident by pulling them out of the apartment window. The victims were provided with first aid and transferred to ambulance workers.

Fire Extinguished

It was also determined that 8 square meters of household items and furniture were on fire in the apartment. The fire was localized at 10:04 and completely extinguished at 10:25 by the efforts of Oleksandriia’s State Emergency Service units.

To extinguish the fire, 13 personnel and 4 units of equipment from the 2nd State Fire and Rescue Unit were involved.
