The Verdict of Volodymyr-Volynskyi City Court
The Volodymyr-Volynskyi City Court has issued a verdict in the case of a native of Kyiv who attempted to leave the country with a forged disability certificate from the Veterans Affairs Bureau through the Ustyluh checkpoint. This was reported by the «Volyn News» news agency.
In June 2023, Viktor B. contacted an unknown person via the «Telegram» messenger with an offer to make forged documents. After receiving the documents on July 24, he tried to use them when crossing the border, but border guards detected them as forgeries.
In court, Viktor B. admitted his guilt and expressed regret. The court took into account that the accused had no prior criminal record, worked for a fire insurance company, and had a positive recommendation from colleagues. As a result, the court imposed a fine of 51,000 hryvnias on him.
