Social benefits in Ukraine: when to expect money and why delays occur

Minister of Social Policy: Social Payments Will Be Made Despite Military Expenses

Minister of Social Policy Oksana Zhulnovych explained that due to priority military expenditures, there may be delays in social payments in Ukraine. However, she confirmed that all social expenditures are provided for in the Ukrainian budget and will be carried out without interruption.

«The Treasury first covers military expenses, but social payments will also receive their due time. These funds are already included in the budget, so there is no reason for them not to be paid,» Zhulnovych said in an interview with Mind publication.

She also noted that the non-systematic nature of fund inflows may lead to temporary payment delays. However, such cases occur rarely and are usually limited to just a few days.

As for specific payments for internally displaced persons in 2024, Ukrainians can expect assistance for accommodation in the amount of 3,000 hryvnias for disabled and children, and 2,000 hryvnias for other categories of individuals.

Also, we remind you that payments have automatically been extended for six months starting from March 1 for individuals who have lost their ability to work, including pensioners, orphans, critically ill children, disabled individuals of groups 1 and 2, foster parents, and others.

Citizens receive payments in two stages: after the 15th and 28th of the month. In case of delays, we recommend seeking additional assistance to address any technical issues.
