Attack on Kyiv Hospitals
On July 8, the Russian army carried out a massive missile attack on Kyiv, resulting in numerous injuries among the civilian population. Two weeks after the shelling, many of the injured are still in the city’s hospitals.
Current Situation
Sergiy Popko, the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, provided information about the condition of the wounded following the missile strike on July 8, which affected, among others, the children’s hospital «Okhmatdyt». Currently, there are 16 injured people in the hospitals of the capital, including two children who continue to receive medical treatment. Two adults are in critical condition.
Casualties
It is worth noting that as a result of the hostile attack on July 8, 34 people were killed and 74 others were injured.
Missiles Used
During the attack, the Russian army used missiles of various types, including «Kinzhal», «Iskander-M», Kh-101, «Caliber» and Kh-59/69. Defenders were able to destroy 30 of them, which were launched at the civilian population.
Targeting of Hospitals
The «Okhmatdyt» hospital was attacked by a Kh-101 missile, as confirmed by video evidence and fragments found at the scene. This strike was aimed at the hospital, indicating the deliberate nature of the attack.
