Ukraine seeks 4.5 million new workers by 2030 to boost GDP

The Ministry of Economy of Ukraine and IMF Discuss the Need for 4.5 Million Workers by 2030

The leadership of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine, in a recent meeting with representatives of the IMF, highlighted the importance of attracting an additional 4.5 million workers by 2030 to achieve an annual GDP growth of 7%. Deputy Minister of Economy Tetiana Berezna emphasized that the country is currently facing a shortage of personnel and structural unemployment, caused by internal migration and emigration.

The government is actively working on modernizing labor legislation and implementing qualification enhancement programs to better equip workers with the skills needed to meet the new market requirements.
