In the communications department of the Vinnytsia police, it was reported that a resident of Haisyn district called the 102 emergency line to report a man being injured near a local shop. Police officers and an ambulance arrived at the scene immediately.
Conflict Turns Violent
It was determined that a conflict had arisen between two acquaintances, during which a 37-year-old local resident, who was intoxicated, stabbed his friend and fled the scene. The victim, a 32-year-old man, was taken to the hospital with injuries.
Suspect Apprehended
During their operations, law enforcement officers identified and apprehended the assailant, who was hiding in a neighboring village. They confiscated the knife used in the attack.
Legal Action Taken
The suspect has been charged with committing a criminal offense under Part 1 of Article 121 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (intentional grievous bodily harm). This offense carries a penalty of up to 8 years in prison. The issue of selecting a preventive measure is currently being resolved.
