Ukrainian Air Force Works to Destroy Enemy Aircraft Daily
Representative of the Ukrainian Air Force, Yuriy Ignat, stated that the work to destroy enemy aircraft is practically carried out on a daily basis at long distances, as the necessary tools are available for this purpose. He emphasized this during a telethon called «Only News.»
«Aircraft are being destroyed both on the southern and eastern fronts. We have tools that work practically every day. The occupiers already understand that a surprise may await them on one or another front. The work is practically ongoing every day. You have seen the amplitude. Our systems are working, and the enemy no longer feels as free as before,» Ignat explained.
According to him, although there are not enough additional tools to close off a large front line, there are enough to ambush the enemy in unexpected areas. He added that aircraft are being destroyed at very long distances, making it difficult to confirm, for example, the death of a pilot.
«We would like to see the pilots, whether they eject or not, whether the plane is falling. But at a distance of 100 kilometers or more behind enemy lines — it is unrealistic to see, except for something leaking in the enemy resources,» Ignat summarized.
It is worth noting that on February 27, the Ukrainian Air Force shot down a Russian Su-34 fighter-bomber. Earlier, it was reported that a Russian Su-34 was shot down in the Kherson region. The Ukrainian Air Force also recently destroyed a Russian A-50U aircraft over the Krasnodar region of the Russian Federation. Earlier, Yuriy Ignat reported that the Russians were forced to take risks and approach closer to the front line in Avdiivka, allowing the Ukrainian Air Force to destroy a large number of enemy aircraft.
