Ensuring Transparency in Construction for Ukraine’s Reconstruction
Any future construction necessary for the reconstruction of Ukraine must be carried out with minimal risk of corruption. The head of the Committee on the Organization of State Power, Local Self-Government, Regional Development, and Urban Planning, Olena Shulyak, has announced that the State Architectural and Construction Inspectorate (SACI) should expand its functions to put an end to corrupt practices.
Along with the liquidation of the SACI in 2020, a pilot project to implement the Unified State Electronic Construction System (USECS) was launched, saving the state up to 1.5 billion hryvnias per year.
