Former Mayor of Balakleya Faces Charges for Cooperating with Russian Federation
Law enforcement agencies have taken legal action against a 57-year-old former mayor of Balakleya for collaborating with the Russian Federation during the city’s temporary occupation. The prosecutor’s office of the Kharkiv region revealed that the accused had surrendered the settlement to Russian invaders shortly after the occupation began.
The individual is currently evading justice within the Russian Federation and is being sought by authorities. If convicted, he could face life imprisonment for committing state treason.
