Kharkiv prepares for the upcoming heating season: new strategy from Mayor Tereshkov

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terkhov has shared the city’s strategy for the upcoming heating season.

He emphasized that one of the priorities in preparation is to move away from centralized heating. The mayor noted that it is currently impossible to completely abandon the centralized system, but it is important to diversify the heating system. Therefore, the city authorities plan to install modular, autonomous boiler houses that will serve microdistricts.

It should be noted that on March 22, the Russian Federation launched nearly 20 missile strikes on the energy infrastructure of Kharkiv and the region, causing serious problems with energy supply and requiring an early end to the heating season.
