The gas supply company «Naftogaz of Ukraine» Extends «Fixed» Tariff Plan
The gas supply company «Naftogaz of Ukraine» has decided to extend the «Fixed» tariff plan for another year, until April 30, 2025. The cost of one cubic meter of gas remains at 7.96 hryvnias (including VAT). This information was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the press service of «Naftogaz.»
The company provides gas to 12.4 million Ukrainian households that receive gas under the annual «Fixed» tariff plan. The tariff will be in effect from May 1, 2024, to April 30, 2025.
Moratorium on Gas Prices
Ukraine will maintain a moratorium on raising tariffs for gas, hot water, and heating during the war. According to experts and officials’ consensus, gas prices in Ukraine will not change in 2024. However, a 10% increase is expected in 2025.
The Chairman of the Board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, Oleksiy Chernyshov, believes that the cancellation of Public Service Obligations (PSO) should start in 2024. According to him, the PSO mechanism is used by the state to support not only vulnerable consumers but also those who can pay market prices.
