The Secretary General’s Surprise Visit to Kyiv
The Secretary General of the North Atlantic Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg, made a surprise visit to Kyiv today, April 29.
During the visit, which was unexpected for many, Stoltenberg met with the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky. The talks included discussions on the idea of creating a NATO Fund for Ukraine in the amount of 100 billion euros to support the country’s defense capabilities.
As part of the visit, a joint press conference was held with the Secretary General and the Ukrainian President, where they discussed important issues of cooperation between Ukraine and NATO.
