President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reacts to the strike in Odesa

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has reacted to the strike on Odessa, emphasizing the need to strengthen the Ukrainian air defense for additional protection.

«Russia continues to wage war against civilians. Night attack ‘Shahids’: Kharkiv, Odessa, cities in the Sumy region. One of the enemy drones hit a residential building in Odessa. 18 apartments destroyed,» noted the head of state.

Currently, two fatalities are known in Odessa. In addition, among the eight injured, there is a child.

The search and rescue operation is ongoing around the clock, with all services on site. The injured are receiving the necessary assistance.

«We need more air defense systems, we need to strengthen the Ukrainian air shield to add protection to our people from Russian terror. More air defense systems, more missiles for air defense — this is what saves lives,» Zelensky added.
