Renaming of a metro station in Kiev

Renaming of Kyiv Metro Station Completed

The renaming process of a metro station in Kyiv has been successfully carried out. On the night of May 2, the old name «Druzhby narodiv» was removed and replaced with the new name «Zverynetska».

Two out of four necessary sets of new signs were installed overnight when train traffic was stopped and the power supply to the contact rail was turned off.

The new fonts for the station were designed by font specialist Bohdan Gdal and handmade at the «Literny Dvir» workshop, adding a unique touch to the station’s appearance.

Earlier in April, new letters were also installed at the «Ploshcha Ukrayinskykh Heroyiv» station, formerly known as «Lva Tolstoho». With the completion of these renaming works, two metro stations in Kyiv have now been practically completed.
