Arrest Made in Robbery Case in Desnianskyi District
Police in the capital city have arrested a criminal who threatened a father and son with a knife and stole their bicycle on the street in the Desnianskyi district. This was reported by the Kyiv police.
The victim told the police that he and his 11-year-old son were riding their bicycles on a street in the district when an unknown person approached him, beat him, and took the bike, threatening him with a knife.
The attacker was apprehended the next day in the Desnianskyi district. The perpetrator turned out to be a 37-year-old local resident who had previous run-ins with the law for robbery and apartment thefts. He had already sold the bicycle, but the police identified the buyer and confiscated the vehicle.
The suspect has been charged under Article 187 Part 4 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — robbery committed in wartime conditions. He faces up to 15 years in prison with property confiscation for his actions.
