The President of the European Commission’s Conditions for Negotiations with Russia

The President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, has stated that negotiations with Russia regarding peace are possible only under the condition of adherence to the UN Charter. She expressed hope that this moment will come soon after the peace summit in Switzerland, as reported by RBC-Ukraine.

Outcomes of the Peace Summit

During the summit, which took place on June 15-16, a joint declaration was signed by 80 countries and 4 international organizations. The document identified the need for the safe operation of the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant under Ukrainian control, ensuring safe maritime navigation and access to ports in the Black and Azov Seas, as well as the exchange of all prisoners of war.
