Svitlana Poplavsky, a Dedicated Doctor Killed in Kyiv Terrorist Attack
Svitlana Poplavsky, a doctor of obstetrics and gynecology from the Ternopil region, tragically lost her life on July 8 in a terrorist attack in Kyiv, carried out by Russian military personnel. Her untimely death has left behind three orphaned children, causing immense sorrow among her colleagues and friends.
A Life Dedicated to Medicine
Born in Mykulyntsi, Ternopil region, Svitlana pursued her passion for medicine by studying gynecology at Kharkiv National Medical University. She dedicated her career to helping others, working at the ADONIS Medical Center as an obstetrician-gynecologist, ultrasound specialist, and sexology consultant.
An Act of Terrorism
Tragically, Svitlana lost her life during a rocket attack on the ADONIS clinic in the Left Bank. Her classmate Roman Yarish, who shared the heartbreaking news on Facebook, expressed his deep grief and condemnation towards the perpetrators of this heinous act of violence.
As of July 9, the deadly strike in Kyiv on July 8 resulted in the loss of 29 lives, including 4 children, and left 117 people injured, including 10 children. The senseless violence has caused immense pain and suffering to the people of Kyiv, and our thoughts are with all those affected by this tragedy.
