In case of Donald Trump being elected as the President of the United States, according to analysts from TIME magazine, there could be a possible reduction in military aid to Ukraine and attempts to push Ukraine towards a peace deal with Russia on terms beneficial to the Kremlin. However, predictions vary.
Ukrainian politicians are outraged by the potential consequences, but some sources express less pessimistic forecasts. «The entire 2025 will be very difficult if Trump wins,» commented one government official anonymously.
«Trump is likely to diminish aid to Ukraine and try to negotiate a peaceful deal that may be advantageous for Russia. However, eventually he will become disillusioned with Putin and realize that doing business with him is not possible,» the official added.
