During a briefing, the head of the Odessa Regional State Administration, Oleh Kiper, announced that the Odessa region is considering the possibility of cooperation with Turkey in the field of electric power.
Turkey Ready to Supply Megawatt Ships
Turkey is ready to supply megawatt ships to the ports of Odessa and the Danube for generating electric power, but emphasizes the need to protect them from possible Russian attacks.
«We are considering the possibility of attracting Turkey, which is ready to provide the Odessa region with three ships to increase electric power capacities. These installations are capable of generating at least 250 megawatts of electric power. One of these ships can be installed in Izmail, and two more near the ports of Odessa and Yuzhne. They operate on both diesel fuel and gas,» explained Oleh Kiper.
Negotiations for Security Guarantees
The Turkish side demands security guarantees, but the head of the Odessa Regional State Administration emphasized that Turkey’s participation in these processes is crucial. Negotiations for assistance in the field of electric power are being held at various levels, including the highest echelons of power.
