Ukrzaliznytsia raises the cost of bed linen in trains for the first time in 5 years

Ukrzaliznytsia Updates Tariffs for Bedding in Passenger Trains

Ukrzaliznytsia has announced the first increase in bedding tariffs in 5 years, providing passengers with a higher quality of service. Starting from May 22, the cost of bedding in platskart and coupe cars will be 80 UAH (compared to 50 UAH before) and in SV cars — 120 UAH (compared to 60 UAH before).

Before implementing these changes, Ukrzaliznytsia completed the process of replacing bedding in trains, with plans to finish replacing mattresses and pillows on all long-distance routes by the end of June this year. Consulting with leading manufacturers and suppliers to improve standards and incorporate best market practices, Ukrzaliznytsia aims to enhance passenger comfort and extend the product’s lifespan.

Despite facing ongoing challenges, Ukrzaliznytsia remains dedicated to improving passenger service. The company is actively working on developing its own mobile application, loyalty program, and zones for children and persons with limited mobility.

Additionally, Ukrzaliznytsia continues to maintain socially important tariffs for domestic rail transport at pre-crisis levels and offers regular free evacuation and medical transport services.
