The United States Monitoring Military Cooperation
The United States is closely monitoring the military cooperation between the Russian Federation and Iran and North Korea, and is ready to respond to attempts by other countries to strengthen the military-industrial potential of the aggressor state. This was stated by the Deputy Spokesperson of the US Department of Defense, Sabrina Singh, at a briefing at the Pentagon, RBC-Ukraine reports.
According to her statements, Washington is concerned about the deepening of relations between North Korea, Russia, and Iran, as this supports Russian military actions on the battlefield in Ukraine, where an illegal war continues, claiming numerous lives of Ukrainian civilians.
Singh also emphasized that the US continues to closely monitor the situation and strengthen cooperation with allies in the region, providing Ukraine with the necessary weapons for the front and imposing sanctions on those who support Russia in the war.
However, the Pentagon representative did not confirm information that North Korea has sent its citizens to participate in the war on the side of Russia against Ukraine.
US sanctions against Russia and its allies continue to escalate. Recently, the US State Department imposed new sanctions against Russia for the use of chemical weapons on the Ukrainian front. Additionally, the US, Canada, and the UK imposed sanctions against Iran for supplying attack drones to Russia.
